How To Make A Journal Disguised As A CD Case

Hello again, everyone!

Here's a tutorial I made for making a journal disguised as a CD case: http://impishdiy.blogspot.com/2009/07/how-to-make-journal-disguised-as-cd.html

The end result looks like this:

Handmade journal

Some scrapbook paper, a needle and thread, and some innovative glue-sticking, and voila! Homemade journal for a friend of mine! )

It has about 15 sheets, so 30 pages. Small, but handy! And I think it came out nicely :) They're really easy to make.

Tutorial! )

Floppy Disk Notebooks

Upon googling how to recycle floppy disks, I actually came across some great craft uses for them.

Using this guide, here's what I managed to make tonight in about 15 minutes.

Pretty easy to make. Used 2 floppy disks, some 3.5 x 3.5 inch lined paper (from old school exercise books), and instead of the paperclips (as suggested in the above tutorial link) - I used wire (which we have before from doing clay work) from my house.

Got another 30 floppy disks sitting around...

Request.

I am relatively new to the 'crafty' world, and I am hoping a few of you could help me out with ideas/finding tutorials.

What I'm looking for is anything concerning personalizing your school stuff in funky/fun ways. I.E. book covers, journal covers, pencils, whatever.

Websites/Tutorials would be greatly appreciated.
